Wizz Air are increasing their presence in Madeira, adding a twice weekly Gatwick flight on a Monday and Friday to their Tuesday and Saturday Luton service. Gatwick flights start 28 March 2022.

Jet2 continues to expand and has opened a new base at Bristol, serving 33 destinations. this includes a Monday Funchal service which competes with Easyjet.
